The day they packed up our house in Bathurst this one rode away with a
new owner. Guess which was the hardest to see go.

It sure is work getting used to such a different ride. Even after 8
months off the Suzuki my body thinks the footpegs should be just down
that way a little more, and the seat back there a bit, and the horn goes
whenever I hit the blinkers, and there's this thing happening between
the kick stand and neutral when I hit the starter, and whoever thought
of that digital speedo, and where's the gear indicator?

On the other hand, it's a great bike for city riding where I'm now
working and the instant snap open of the fuel injection makes me feel
like I've moved from a farm hack to a muster horse.

Pity it started to rain two days after I bought it. It's been a long
time since I got home soaked to the skin.

Wow, that's quite a change - no wonder it feels 'different'! What fun :-)

That'd be a culture change!

Congrats on the new bike.

I've been thinking about what sort of a change it is. And it came to my
mind about that old joke of the young bull and the old bull.
"Hey Pop, look at all them cows down there. Let's race down and do one
of them over."
"No son, let's just amble down and have the lot of them."

Well, the Suzuki never had to apologise, but the Versys has the urgency
of the younger bull. I just hope it supplies the testosterone as well. :-)

Unfortunately, only available in green in Oz. I'm told next year it will
be burnt orange only.

Other countries have the full range - and in the UK there is a thing
about the red bike where the owners take off the Kawasaki badging and
put on a Honda or Ducati sticker, or Ferrari, or a mock-up of the BMW
propeller logo with the BMW replaced with WTF.
