Hi All,
I'll be visiting US next month and would like to rent a H-D bike for a
day.
I already found few rentals, but trouble is, I would prefer to pick-up
the bike before entering Death Valley (driving from Yosemite) and then
drop it off in Las Vegas.
Can you suggest any rental?
All rentals I found have only one pick-up/drop-off place.
Regards,
Wojtek

you didnt say where you are coming from so be aware this might be difficult
without a motorcycle endorsement on your license (which many countries dont
even require).

I do have specific driving license category for motorcycles.
As far as I've checked, Polish driving licence is valid in CA and NV.

No biggee in CA. If stopped, just tell 'em you're a mexican truck
driver from Calexico who just happens to have a Polish license.

An International drivers licence is a rather moot point!
The fact is, YOU are not prepared to enter Death Valley from Yosemite to
Las Vegas in one day...unless you just want to "touch yer toe in those
places", and not spend any time to see it.

I called Reno HD a year ago about a one-way to Los Angeles and they seemed
willing/interested but I was not able to go, so can't comment further.
OK, I could, but I would just be making stuff up.

You didn't mention whether you'd be driving from the east or west side
of Yosemite, so I'll assume the east side.
There's no place to rent on the east side of Yosemite on 395 unless you
go all the way up to Reno. Quite a haul if you're planning on then
turning around and doing DV before you get to Vegas all in one day.
You could rent in Fresno, which is fairly (relatively) close to Yosemite
on the west, then make your way to Vegas via Yosemite, but you'd
probably want more than one day. It can take a long time to get through
Yosemite if you really want to enjoy what's there. Once you get to 395
on the east of Yosemite and start heading south there are a number of
places that should be seen, like the June Lakes Loop or Mammoth Lakes area.
I have seen some Eagle Rider places that will have a bike that needs to
get to another rental location, you should talk directly to the place
you want to rent from to see if they are in that situation.
I'll get the next round.

I'd be going from Mono Lake (I've already scheduled San Francisco and
Yosemite part of my stay).
I plan to find some motel before entering Death Valley, and then drive
through the Valley to Las Vegas (also already booked).
The idea of renting H-D bike just came to my head as additional fun-
part of US trip - I ride completely other type of bike at home, but HD
+ Death Valley seem to match.
I'll be traveling with my wife and two friends - so it's not a
motorcycle-adventure-trip.
If it's not possible to get a one way rental, I'd probably take a bike
for a day in LA where I'll be for 6 days due to the business part of
the trip.
Thanks for answer

Just a day?
What a waste of time and money.

Rent a Schwinn, and peddle it around the airport instead.
Death Valley is a HUGE place, and you can't just "visit" it in one day
on a rented bike without being PREPARED for the journey from Yosemite to
Death Valley, and then Las Vegas.
You must be a yet another G-MAIL idiot!

Yeah a burro would be a lot cheaper. And dropped off anywhere, it'll
find it's own way home. Problem solved.

And using a donkey could be better for "those special movies" we all
heard about.

If I'm not mistaken, HOG owns all of the Fly 'n Ride bikes so their not tied
to a dealership. The only problem is their minimum is 3 days but they would
more likely to allow a different location drop-off. Now you just added 2
days to your trip! A winner!
