Please explain in plain English how one can borrow money
to get out of debt and not be in debt to the new lender.

Does "free" mean the borrower pays no interest?

Also, if the approval is guaranteed, why bother qualifying
the borrower at all?

Liar, liar, pants on fire...

That was the Schwarzenegger plan for the California economy. He
managed to get a majority of the voters in the state to go for it.

Don't burst my bubble......I constantly borrow my way out of debt! :)

What they are getting at is borrowing money at a lesser interest rate
than you are currently paying, then use the money you are 'saving' by
not paying the higher interest, to pay off your new loan
quicker.....which gets you out of debt faster!

Or better yet, live within one's means.  Keep that bike an extra
couple years and keep the repairs up on it.  Ride your bike to
work instead of the cage.

One day I walked into work soaked to the bone from the rain.  One
employee asked me, how was the ride.  I told him that the worst
ride beat the best day of work.  Somehow he did not believe me.

I still own a grenaded T-500 and a blown(up) LS650 both paid for... I also own a
GL1000 paid for, problem is I've been lusting after older Ducatis. You realize
that a NEW Guzzi Breva might cost less than the Ducatis I'm lusting after? That
is suffering...everything else is just a mosquito bite at worst.

Hey not your fault you worked with an insensitive unfeeling prick.

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational
basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the
unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and
spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from
fiddling with it.

According to

http://gt500.org.uk/t500roadtest.htm

It is a nice, small big bike.

Still haven't an engine for it?  I thought you were on to an
engine a year and a half ago.  I wonder if a GS-500E engine would
fit.

I haven't been bitten by Ducati, although their wimen are
appealing.  I like the nekkid bike look of the Ducati Monster.  I
don't know if I would want to maintain something old with parts
hard to get, although I find their V-Twin somewhat intriguing.

Nor did he understand how much I prefer riding to work.  I turned
on a fan on myself in the office and was dry by lunch, could ask
for nothing more.

I know this bike was THE bike I learned on back in 77'. I was 10 or 11 at the
time.

Money issues...houses, cars, livestock. You know life in general and no the
GS500 motor wont fit.

I was thinking the 70's or 80's perhaps an early monster.

Nah...The idea of dying in debt doesn't phase me. You only live once so
have the most fun you can, while you can.

LOL...thats the problem, I don't sell my 'old' bikes.

I tried that.....the Aprilia wasn't a good commuter so I had to go buy
(book up) a KTM LC4!

I'm more of a 'fairweather' rider. Cars have their uses.

Well, I have been known to wear a kilt......and Thumper did have
something to say about 'balls in the wind'......

If he was known as 'Humper' I'd be worried......
