I have a brand new Schott 118 motorcycle jacket for sale. It was
only worn once to see if it fit, otherwise it's in perfect condition.
It's size 46 and made of naked cowhide. Schott lists it on their
website for $500, but I'm asking $300 for it. You can see it at
www.schottnyc.com

For Sale ads are considered bad form (unless you're
somewhat subtle about it, such as posting an interesting
article and then near the bottom put "BTW if anyone near
Flagstaff, Arizona is interested in a BossHoss I've got
one on sale for $1500.")

Can't. My savings account is tied up until this nice man from Nigeria (and
how did you know by the way?) sends me some promised cash. It's a deal of a
lifetime. Too bad you guys here on rec.motorcycles couldn't get in on it as
well. It was supposed to be a secret. I should know more when I go down to
the bank tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Not really true.

While nobody cares for cross-posted  -and unrelated-  spam, I've never seen
anyone seriously object to private ads that could connect someone on the
newsgroup with an item they could use. In fact, over the years I've seen
several posters find bikes and various biking equipment that way.

Obviously, the usual rules for a secure transaction need to be observed.

Those who fail to do so will learn not to do it again.

Sex is like air; it's not important unless you
aren't getting any

Knowing Keith, I doubt that it's a typo.

I could be wrung.

Let's hope so 'cause I'd be pissed off if he was holding back.
