Different paint, restyled seat, and a bit more chrome on the S.

Mechanically identical. Same goes for the running gear and brakes. It
was just a cosmetic job.

mine has 2 tone paint full of chrome and seat is more like a "harley" seat .
it also does have an "s" in serial #. so would assume it is a 535s- just
wondering as insurance is allot more for an s that a plain 535.
thanks

It's basically shinier, so maybe more attractive to thieves?

Ignore Albrecht, by the way - he actually doesn't know the answers.

They ran the S alongside the stock 535 for a few years in the UK, for
about three or four years in the mid- to late 1990s.

Like I said, mechanically, there's no difference at all.

Sorry about the trolls and the unresponsive answers.

Gas tank on the XV535S has a pin stripe.
