Shoei makes two high-definiiton shield colors;  an amber an a light yellow
tinted one.

Aside from my own two-cent opinion, any preference as to which one you'd
pick for fog and rain conditions in the daytime?

Fwiw, I noticed the local truckstop had trucker's glasses which looked more
light pink than anything.  Clerk said they were for night vision and glare.

You might want to research the UV filtering capabilities of different
colored filters.

In photography, a pinkish UV filter is used to filter out the intense
blue rays that make pictures look so cold. The UV filter warms up the
picture.

The UV rays are also hard on the eyes.

I bought some amber sunglasses for mountain biking in the winter. They
make the surface irregularities stand out. Same thing with skiers.
They need more resolution
on rough snow, so they buy amber lenses for their googles.

Besides filtering out the damaging UV rays and increasing resolution,
the lenses have a certain effect of mood elevation on dreary days when
everything looks so blue.

Ain't this a bitch.  Nothing like looking at the world through rose-colored
glasses....

I thought my tinted visor was gold.  I have it for my RF-1000.  I like
it because it is good at filtering out the blue (which improves
resolution due to blue light having a slightly different focal length)
and does a resonable job with glare.  I also have a dark sun tint
strip adhesive thing I installed along the top to really cut down on
the sun.

The system works reasonably well.

My other helmet mods include some retro-reflective tape and an MSF
sticker which is also retro-reflective.
