All around me, lotsa legal snowmobile trails.

Betcher a.s they aren't legal for bikes the rest of the year...

And don't stop and can't turn.  Dang exciting stuff.

One big advantage.  Even here there are lots of trials,
they just don't have enough snow on them 95% of
the year.  Good for scouting pirate trails though.

Go fast. Take chances.

I'm guessing that's yankee-speak for "you da man"

Its more like maine-yankee-speak but I like to practice to make sure I
can talk with anyone within a few hundred miles.

I can vouch for that.  Oh, and don't actually ride in SNOW - they get
stuck.  Go figure.

Stupid machines.  A studded dirtbike is still way more fun.

Mike, I just talked with Doo yesterday.  He reminded me that he has 4 sleds
and likes to ride in Wyoming.  It looks like I'll be able to cross another
one off my "list".

Yeah, this winter is gonna suck. :-)

I'd kick you for waiting so long to start on the list but you're
having
so much fun you wouldn't notice.  That's excellent.  Go for it.

> Yeah, this winter is gonna suck. :-)

And that's a good thing, right?

Say hi to Doo for me!

Go fast. Take chances.

My snowmobile experience is limited to one night riding the same
trails on which I learned most of my dirtbike skills, maybe eight
years ago or so. Fresh powder on top of zero base. The vintage Yamaha
had no studs on the track and needed a drive belt badly, yet it
climbed the hills with very little fuss. Then I tried Sean's more
modern twin (400?500?) out on the beaver pond. The beaver pond is not
very big and I was able to reliably pull 90+ mph on the short
straights. Snowmobiles are fun. No beavers were injured in the
creation of this memory. That's a different story.

You can buy a used Kawasaki 750 tripple from the 70's if you like
excitement. Better hang on tight though and wear some protective gear.
Stay off the throttle in turns. OF
