AMA bought by NASCAR?

Is it true that the AMA was bought and now controlled by NASCAR?  Is
that what this war is about?

   Ugh, I'm not the biggest motorcycle racing fan.  I do watch it
occasionally and even went to the U.S. MotoGP today at Indy.  But I do not
want to see AMA controlled by NASCAR.  NASCAR/France family will ruin AMA
like they ruin every other form of racing.  I hope the NHRA is never bought
by the France family.

Don't worry, there's no way they can fit a pit stop under a yellow
flag into a 1/4 mile run ;)
