Someone told me the kill switch on the handlebar is infamous for
havnig a loose connection on these Indys. Anyone know where I can buy
a replacement for this, or if something else is to blame? I had to tow
my poor buddy off the trail a few times on our trip, but at least he
didn't have to pay for a rental haha
Thx

Yeah it's one thing to check, the ignition switch is also famous.
Unplugging these switches is the way to check them. They ground out the
ignition so by unplugging them you take them out of the system.
I've been through a few ignition coils on 500's of that vintage so that's
another thing that after it heats up it fails. It will give spark on a
trailside test but it's out of time and will not run the motor.
