*&$%ing idiots.  Far too many "Look at me I'm an Idiot" videos out there now.
Just about everyone with a sportbike is looking to get famous it seems.

Watch out for the link, it wraps.

If that link stops working try here and look for "Reckless and Dangerous."

Hopefully they will be found, arrested, pistol whipped while in cuffs, and
then turned loose in the general prison population composed primarily of
rapists, murders and other unsavory types.

Think maybe then they'll learn, or are idiot squidlings incorrigible?

Can anyone tell me how the term "squids" came to represent these riders?

Acronym for:  Stupid; QUick, and Inevitably Dead.

Damn, I looked it up, found it was old Harley-rider speak for "SQUirrelly
young kIDS"

I was told it was a concatenation of "Squirrelly Kid"

I've heard all of these explanations, but the most frequently cited
explanation I've seen on Usenet, in the 5 years I've been reading motorcycle
related newsgroups, is the "Stupid, QUick, Inevitably (or Immediately) Dead"
definition. As an anthropologist with a strong interest in language, I am
genuinely curious to learn 1. how old is the term, "squid"? i.e. can anyone
point me in the direction of the first published (Usenet or otherwise)
instances of this term? 2. An oral history of the term--- i.e. I suspect it
is not very old, and I'd like to hear stories from "old timers" about the
first time they used and/or heard this term? I am wondering what are the
linguistic sources of this term (i.e. acronym or metaphor based on
observation of real-life squid), how did it come into common parlance among
motorcyclists.

Anyone with ideas or information is welcome to email me at the address I
post with, because I am seriously (i.e. professionally) interested in this
semantic stuff.

I can't answer that question directly, but I don't recall ever STARTING to
use the term squid.  That would imply that, if I've always been familiar with
it, I've been using it or hearing it since I started riding in 1988.

don't know any origins, but I read an article in an MC magazine (can't remember
if dead tree or electronic) and the author defined SQUID to mean
    Surely Quicker Until I Die

Here's a link to the entire video.  It's large and 20 minutes long, but it
streams.  Obviously, the link wraps...

Hey, I wonder if this chick on the back is the same girl that fell off the
bike on that vid that was posted a few weeks ago? Looked like they were
doing the same type of stunts.
