I've noticed from your posts that you tend to read a lot of non PacNW
newspapers.

I have RSS newsfeeds set up to bring me anything "motorcycle" related.
When I see something good, I post it.

You should really try the RSS thing....It is pretty cool.

As I use AOL, I'm afraid I'm stuck with a text box. Even if I could use it, the
site that you referenced says that it is not in stock.

Also try this one.  It is free, period.

I use Firefox, but prefer a standalone RSS reader unless it is Wall St.
Journal, espn or something. I prefer even more to embedd RSS feeds in my
web pages, but you can't have my pw to read my RSS internet feeds piped
into my pages!  :-)

I thought that Awasu thing you referenced was a newsgroup reader not a news
reader.
I'm sure once it's setup to deliver something specific e.g. bike related stuff,
it might come in handy. But it is way overcomplicated and cumbersome just to
retrive the daily news.
Just press SOAP or XSLT or RSS...baaa I say WTF! It's no wonder they have to
give that sh.t away for free. Someone needs to buy the software geeks a clue.

in...surprising for a cager.

Not surprising at all. Most Japanese take the concept of personal
responsibility -and honor- quite seriously.

What's really surprising is the original poster didn't get the point.
Don't f.cking DRINK AND DRIVE, not Don't party with the cops.

and this guy was busted anyway. His tag was recorded by a witness at the
scene. Since he was so tight with the cops, probably a cop friend
alerted him that he was caught anyway, so he turned himself in giving
the impression of responsibility.

I don't believe a 'panic' attack will cause one to drive away.

Actually, surprising for anyone (biker or cager) nowadays.  But, hey, don't
let your prejudice's get in the way.  ;)

Oh boy... did that driver ever loose face... very bad manners to cause personal
injury and not give aid... to run in an act of an coward... I'm surprised he did
not commit suicide...  well you didn't have to go far to find a police station
in Japan... they are spread out every where in Japan... you see they don't
cruise around in police cars... no sir... too crowded... the main force is a net
work of local police stations... they all have a PA system that reaches the
citizens and gives announcements... I remember hearing the nightly broadcast
where we lived in P5 Ushihama Heights Tokyo To... it reminded us that everything
was OK because the police were on duty and don;t forget to turn off the gas to
the heater to prevent fire...
