... instead of those looking like a nut-shell or aviation ones. Wait for
suggestions and will forward them to her. One more thing, it would be
for riding on FZ-1.
Is there any way to have an intercom in the full face helmet.

Why should I wear a full-face helmet?
"I taught the MSF course at Little Creek Amphib Base in Norfolk for a couple of
years. I had a disk sander. Every time someone tried to explain to me why
helmets are useless, I offered to let them hold their face against the disk
sander. None took me up on it." ‹ John P.

(Have often wondered. Where does the Internet posting style of leaving out
first-person pronouns and question marks come from. Being silly.)

Have her try both on, and then hit her in the face with a frying pan. I'm
betting the fullface will do a better job of protecting her.

Yes.

IICON has some cool ones with skulls and sh.t. They go good with their
bling bling solid gold knuckled gloves and "Peace through superior HP"
jacket.

Does that mean "Peace Through Superior Harley Parts"?

I landed on my face when a person cut across my nose. Over the top I
went and landed literally face first and then slid along on my face
for quite a while. My full face helmet was cracked and thrashed. My
face was fine.
Had I worn those other style of helmets, I would have shattered my
jaw, broken my cheek and nose, and done socket damage at the very
least. Possible death or worse, a vegetative or brain damaged state is
not out of realm of possibility rither.
I don't care how good a rider you are or how careful you are. Someone
else can always ruin your day.
Because of my full face helmet I stood up and walked away. Without it
I would have had titanium plates in my face, my jaw wired shut, and
looked like a freak for the rest of my life as a best case scenario.

To not ride with someone who can't figure out how to get an intercom inside
the helmet all by himself?

So there is a progress here Mr. Troy. You overlooked the fact that
beginner is carrying passenger on FZ-1 :-).

As a matter of fact she prefers to ride without the helmet :-). We all
are squid generation, did not you know about that. At least from
alt.motorcycle.sportbike elite point of view. Seriously, we did not talk
about that yet - we are going to buy something for spring.

I am not concerned to tell you the truth. The data is out there.
People should make the decision based on the data and whether a risk
is worth it to them. We all do personal risk asessments, for some
things are worth it that are not to others. I am a firm believer in
personal responsibility and personal accuntability. If she does not
wish to ride with a helmet that his her choice as an adult and I will
fully support it. I will be wearing my full face helmet though.

Sorry for being sarcastic before, but I just see a lot of bashing for
people liking 600cc bikes. Interestingly, when I was researching the
type of two wheels for myself including FZ-1 and Bandit 1200S, I was
quite welcomed.
Anyway, I am a capitan of my FZ-1 and want my passengers to wear the
full face helmets. I am just looking around for some good arguments.
Cheers,
A.

Yes, that is a distinct advantage.
I would never want to donate my face to the highway department.

I would think it better to teach her how to ride safe.
One also makes a choice on being a stat also.

Passenger face smashing into the riders helmet is a good one! One good
quick squeeze of the right hand should do it!

And when your helmet bashes her nose in when you stop fast, maybe shell
learn. I always believe if one wears a helmet, the passenger should
also. I will not take a non-helmeted passenger if I have a helmet on
(wich is almost always). They can walk...
