Anyone know what the oil capacity is for a 1996 Suzuki Katana? > Anyone know what the oil capacity is for a 1996 Suzuki Katana? When I changed the oil in the 03 Kat 600 just before selling it last month, it took 4 litres (sorry, don't know what that translates into one of the many dumb US form of measurements) and it was just a hair too much. This without an oil replacement. I had followed the manual's recommendation and I wish I had held back some 200ml. best to go with a bit less, warm up that engine and take a reading. Easier to add than it is to remove oil. If replacing the oil filter than a full 4 litres may be a reasonable amount - although I'd still hold back a little.
