Hey can anyone with a service manual give me a hint??? I was
reinstalling my battery after storage. Long story short no lights in
garage... getting dark battery installed backwards. I checked my fuses
and they were good. Can anyone tell me if the battery cables would
have those fuses that burn themselves out. Should I go that route or
did I fry something else?
Stupid yes, but possible. Still I am not the greatest mechanic and
unfortunately poor at the moment. ANy help would be great. Thanks...

oh yeah the battery did arc on installation but not onto anything
other than the cable end. If there are no fusable links in the battery
cable where should I go from there? thanks.

Go to bikebandit.com or somewhere else to find the schematics for your bike.
There might be wiring diagrams, which could help you trace the problem.

I would think main fuse first, which should be between the positive cable
and any ECU or wiring interfaces. The main fuse is separate from the normal
fuse box, and is usually rated at 30-40 amps.

BTW, I'm not an electrician, so I'm just grasping at ideas here. It's
entirely possible you fried something major, but I would think the bike
designers would have put safeties in place for that exact mistake.

The 30 amp fuse hidden under the starter relay cover
probably blew out when you hooked the battery up backwards.

If you are very unlucky, the diodes in the rectifier regulator blew
out too, and maybe the transistors in the ignitor unit were also
fried.
