A chief constable has admitted driving at 72mph within a 60mph limit stretch
of the A9 road in his own force area.
God I hate being lied to. When will everyone just admit that speed limits
should be an advisory because almost everyone treats them that way, Plod
included.
I sat behind a Plod 4x4 down the M5 on Saturday and he maintained a happy
80-85 which stopped the traffic bunching or panic braking.

I caught up with a police Volvo on the M50 yesterday. Dawdling along at
60mph. I noticed it had no rear number plate, then spotted the trade
plate in the rear window, and another Volvo on the back of a low loader
a few vehicles in front.
I took great glee in riding past at 95mph and giving the civilian
drivers a cheery wave.
