...about scratching the GTR any more.

Because it's just been Fiat Puntod.

Filtering past stationary traffic, and matey decides to lurch out sans
indicator, looking, or brain. As I was alongside him.

His offside[1] front wing made contact with my nearside[1] pannier,
scuffing it. And stoving the wing in.

Through a feat of enormous skill and blind luck I stayed on the bike.

Luckily the guy in the Tuffnells truck that I'd just passed stopped,
called the driver an effing muppet, and gave me his details. I do like
friendly witnesses. Thanks mate!

Aunty Carole has been informed, and we'll see what matey's got to say
when I find out what a repair will cost.

Infuriating. Commiserations, old chap.I think you're being quite
restrained in the circumstances.

That expression of sympathy, heartfelt as it is, is totally
unconnected with the fact that I was rather hoping to have a go on
said machine the next time I saw you.

"Faark", presumably.

Do try to keep the thing rideable, at least until I've had my go.

No. Just a young blind guy[1]. Obviously, if it *had* been your

With apologies to Del Shannon ...

As I sit at home, I wunder what went wrong
With a bike, a bike that was so strong
And as I still walk on I think of
The things we've done together
While our hearts were young

I'm sitting in the rain
Tears are falling and I feel the pain
Wishing they were here by me
I'm such a misery and I wunder
I wun-wun-wun-wun wunder
Why why why why why why I stayed away
And I wunder where they will stay
If I hadn't wunaway wun-wun-wun-wun wunaway
Wun wun wun wun wunaway.....

>Man, that was *beautiful*.

Well I'm the type of guy
that'll never settle down.
Where motorcycles are,
well, you know that I'm around.
I buy 'em and I sell 'em
'cause to me they're all the same.
I clean 'em and I crash 'em.
I don't even know their name.
They call me the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
Well, there's Douglas on my left
and there's Chimay on my right.
But Hitchin is the place, yeah,
I'll be in tonight.
And when they ask me
which one I love the best,
I tear open my shirt,
And show 'em "Homeboy" on my chest.
'Cause I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
Oh well, I roam from room to room.
I go through life without care.
And I'm as happy as a loon
with my two wrists of iron and I'm going nowhere.
Well, I'm the type of guy
who likes to roam around.
I'm always in one place.
I never been to to town.
And when I find myself a-going' for some trip.
I hop right into that house of mine
and have a little kip.
'Cause I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.

Oh well, I roam from room to room.
I go through life without care.
And I'm as happy as a clown
with my two wrists of iron and I'm going nowhere.
Well, I'm the type of guy
who likes to roam around.
I'm never in one place.
Sometimes I'm in the lounge.
And when I find myself a-going for a spin.
I hop right onto that bike of mine
and promptly have a bin.
'Cause I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
Yeah I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
Yeah I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
Yeah I'm the Wunderer, yeah, the Wunderer,
I roam around.
The kitchen.
