Google for 'Jack Russel Terrier' in, say, 2000 - 2003, for a laugh.

I thought you were the expert on this subject.
Search for +bicycle +trailer +dog +coughlan
followed by "sarah coughlan" for another laugh.

There is a guy 'Rob' that takes his Jack Russell, Mini,  around on the tank
of his Harley.
Raises loads of money for Battersea Dogs home I think.
I'll see if I can find some pics.

Right I've stuck a couple of pics up I've found of Rob & Mini.

Also there are some pics here of a giant poodle, Oliver that goes around in
a big trailer towed by a Harley!

Seen it done a few times. And this month's Classic Bike has a gorgeous
archive pic of a cat riding pillion on some horrible old Honda CB250G5
(poor creature)

You haven't seen the pic and the caption. He was prosecuted for it,
despite the court being told that the cat genuinely enjoyed the trip and
meowed loudly until it was allowed to hop on the back seat.

No, no, no. I've got nothing at all against letting pets ride if want to,
but on a *G5*! FFS! That is so wrong on many counts.

Rick Parkington of Classic Bike Fame built a kennel type thing onto the
back of an ancient SOB.... stuck a pair on Finbar (damn fine hound) and took
him for a bimble.
Raised a few eyebrows... probably Finbars as well!

I stopped at the West End café in Llandovery a few weekends ago. I met a
chap called Colin riding an R1100GS. As I was preparing to leave he
approached his bike and tethered a Jack Russell terrier to the bars. As
there was no apparent mechanism for restraining the dog on the bike I made
enquiries. As his SO approached, Colin stated that the dog sits inbetween
pillion and rider.

The couple originate from South Africa and have now chosen to live in
Abergavenny. Very strange folk, in more ways than one.

I passed a guy on the M4 last weekend.  Old ratbike, didn't see what it was,
but had an old-style topbox on the rear carrier, lid bungee'd shut, with a
hole cut in the top and a Jack Russell's head poking out.  The dog had no
lid or goggles, but to be fair the guy was only doing about 50.  Dog seemed
to be having a whale of a time, making faces at the passing traffic.

My dog weighs about 5 stone, so it probably isn't an option, even on the
Bandit.  I'm sure he'd love it, though.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Vass"
<write2mark_XXX_@hotmail.com> saying something like:

I camped next to a bloke years ago at the BMF who had a trike with a
kennel on the back. His dog (collie type, iirc) was well used to it and
didn't seem fazed at all.
