Biker down

I have just seen what looked like a rather nasty one a few yards east
of M1 Junction roundabout to the east of Garforth on the road to Hook
Moor. A loan biker, by the looks of it very seriously injured at the
very least. Plenty of people on the scene, but no police or ambulance
in sight- having left my phone at home I dashed the couple of minutes
home to make 999 on the land-line, just to make sure they were aware. I
like to make certain in such circumstances, no point in just assuming
someone else has made the call.

I got SWMBO to place the call whilst I got my helmet off and parked the
bike - The first question she was asked was who had asked her to place
the call. Strange question to be asked, before she was even asked for
the crucial details. She did eventually find out that they were already
aware of the incident and were on route.

How did you know that he had borrowed it?

Loan bikers don't rate much interest here.

<snip>

A 'loaned' bike. Hmmm, sounds iffy. Did he have a finger missing?
