I like yellow bikes. I'd gladly own a 998 biposto in yellow, as I think they look even better than in red. But the ST2/4 thing leaves me cold. Looks like a dog's dinner, and the concept of a Ducati tourer is ... well it's f.cked up, that's what it is. At the risk of sounding pedantic I see no reason in buying an ST4 when a 4S goes for very similar money. A "sports touring" Ducati is a border line idea. I think the latter carries it of due to the engine and the quality of the cycle components. The 916 engine is ok. The 996 engine is a joy. Faster, more flexible and more reliable I believe. The "S" has marchesini wheels, remote preload adjustable Ohlins, top of their range Showa forks and Brembo Goldline brakes. I think the basic model has lower spec components in all respects. ...and for god sake don't buy a yellow bike!
