What's the best way to get the centre-stand-less Viagra off the ground for
tyre changing etc.? Helicopters, magic hover pads, jetpacks, turning it
upsidedown: not viable.

When I changed the front tyre I used two car axle stands which was a very
wobbly affair.

Can you not fit swingarm bobbins and use a paddock stand? Failing that, see
if the Abba stand has the necessary adaptors for the Viagra swingarm pivot
and then borrow an Abba from a friendly ukrm-er.

Quote "except shaft drive"!

I used to use a block of wood and a trolley jack under front of frame.
Jack-up against the side stand. This gets the front wheel off the ground
enough to remove it.

That's sort-of how I got the axle stands under it, one side at at time, but
I was worried that the side stand might give out if I left the whole weight
on it.

Mine was alright.
It's not the whole weight as such, as the back wheel and the axle
stand/trolley jack are still on the floor.

It's shaft drive so there's not much anywhere to fit anything to, zorsts and
stuff in the way, not much of a frame either.

My GSX1100F bent my 'heavy duty' paddock stand, so I used the engine hoist
and a couple of straps.

Now, that's a good idea. It would be useful to be able to work on it at some
height too, rather than straining me poor old back...

Good idea, thanks.
