Erk! What's going on there then? I know of Foale, of course, of
Quasar and so on. But no rake = a lack of longitudinal stability in
normal terms. Doesn't it?

Rake and trail are related though. The Tuc tuc thing however doesn't
appear to have either!

I would /guess/ that it has a lot of trail.
the key problem probably was that it was desired to
stop the front going up and down as the steering turned.
The steering axis may not be parallel to the forks legs.

Not really, think of a shopping trolley, no rake lots of trail, and
admittedy they mostly work, not the most stable of things.
Similarly choppers have a lot of rake and at least at speed are ok, but
slow work looks (not ridden one) a bit tricky.
Exactly what the relationship between the two is I dunno, but get it
wrong and it's tree time. Agility versus stability I guess.
Wasn't the VMax a a bit mungoed in this department?

Extremely. Handles like a whale on roller skates.
