I see your point and will bow out by saying what I should have said in
the beginning and that's that it was on telly.

Selfridges. Rejoice.

Out local butcher has been advertising Christmas hamper savings clubs
since January, with the message being changed most months. It's now
"Only 4 months to go but still time...".

Let's leverage the appropriate synergies in this scenario.

My name's Ogden and I've just used the term "we're all singing from the
same hymn sheet" on the phone to a client.

Shoot me now.

I did that today but only after the bird asked me what my USP was and
then was completely whooshed by my response of "more than 8 inches".  I
just felt The Need iyswim.

[1] For the next time someone asks me what my USP is, not because I'm
interested in Steve's....

It generally means they're getting the stocks onto the shelves, or at least
out of the storage rooms.

I've just got back from a pub[1] which had a sign in the toilets
advertising their Xmas meal packages. I complained to the bint behind
the bar, who said they'd already had several bookings for Xmas dinner.

I despair, I really do.

I was at a Holiday Inn near St Albans ("Luton South" or similar) three
weeks ago which had thingies out on the tables plugging its christmas
meal. 65 quid or so to spend crimbo at a Holiday Inn with Luton in its
name. WTF?

A day early. They normally start Sep 1st. Easter ads on New years day and
summer hol's on Easter Sunday. DFS are having a sale then too, just the one.
