I can vouch for the level of pain caused by jumping off a chair and landing
on an upturned 3-pin power plug in bare feet.

Pah, wimp
try a coach bolt sized screw...
It's not the pain, it's just the feeling when you take it out

I remember them taking the drain out, when I had my appendix removed. Green
plastic tubing - I thought there was probably a few inches. Actually, there
was something like a couple of yards. Didn't actually hurt, but it was the
most entirely unwholesome feeling I've ever experienced.

A 4 inch long rusty screw right through the foot, where you can feel the
thread pulling the flesh ...
urrgh
I could have put my finger in the hole and wiggled it about , but felt a
bit squeamish at the time

Like having the packing removed from the trench that the surgeon had
carved in my palate during the op I had when I was about 18. The one
and only time I have ever fainted. I didn't hurt at all but they reckon
that pulling the packing out of the wound released some toxins..

but you're a walking medical disaster and we know it
Which reminds of me of the time I was chasing a cat out of my garden and
impaled myself on a spike of my fence - it went in 10cm (I measured the
subcutenous fat on the spike when I got back from hospital)

No, fairly shallow - into the muscle, but no graunched bone
... made it easy getting a parking space at the hospital when I took the
towel off my arm and showed the parkee

I'll see your screwdriver and raise you a wisdom tooth extraction
where the anaesthetic doesn't work.

Hah. Try a vasectomy where the local anaesthetic didn't quite go deep
enough.

Not nice at all.
Having some bloke outside whistling a jaunty tune whilst painting the
window frame was a bit disconcerting too.
