Was it you who was wondering about street fightering you ZX7R?

If so have a look at this lovely example of a modified ZX9R on ebay.  I hope
this inspires you.

FFS!

"Type: Enduro/Supermoto"? Who are they trying to kid?

And is that a fake can on the left? Why?

I'm left with a distinct impression of "more money than sense". And I
bet it's *really* uncomfortable.

Well, he's got one thing right - it would look better in black; of the

"Alarm fitted."

As if.

I have to say, it's rare that I'd want to see a running bike shoved off a
cliff, but that one can go any day.

Buy it cheap.  Take out the engine.  Fit in a 7R chassis.

Throw rest of bike away :)

bleeuurghh.

Anyway, having perused the two copies of Streetfighter magazine that
Veggie kindly sent me, I've firmly decided that I don't want in any
way to be associated with the sort of scum and riff-raff that have
streetfighters. Or their minging birds.

don't get me wrong - some modified bikes are cool.

But the majority of those in Streetfighters seem to be painted with
some combination of flames, scary devils, evil clowns, wolves and
large-breasted munters.

It's not for me.

never mind then. I've decided to just see what I can get for the heap
on ebay without throwing any money at it.

Go for an uber supermoto instead. Much less sheep-like & you get to mix
with a far superior class of person.

What, like Time Crowther and Andy Bonwick?

I'd like another supermoto, but the problem is you can't go anywhere
on them (I can't afford a Hypermotard or Duke 850)

No, a home-built one, a bit like what I did with the '96 Tiger.

<thinks>

You don't do spannering though, do you. So I guess your streetfighter
was going to be bought-in rather than constructed.

Something like a Daytona with re-worked Tiger suspension, Dymags,
Beringer brakes, Renthals etc would fit the bill nicely. Get Lozzo to
do the work[1] & you could end up with an uber-SM that would piss all
over the Hypermotards & HP2s of this world.

[1] Apart from the rear shock linkage, natch.

Thank f.ck my KTM is only a toy supermoto rather then an uber one or
your theory would have been blown out of the water.
