My Fiesta did that. Problem was when driving enthusiastically, they were on permanently. I turned them off. Fair enough, except on early ones they got the ramp angle wrong, so they triggered just a gnat's too readily ... if a passenger got in and moved the seat all the way back, hard, they would trigger, leading to many a comedy "breakdown".
