Hi all!

Just bought my first Yamaha the last month, a brand new 2003 R1. Coming from
a Ducati it´s a little different to say the least. Can´t say I don´t miss
the 2 cyl engine....

Anyway, the speccs say 152 HP but what, approx.,  can I expect on the wheel?

Don´t feel like spending an 100 bucks for a dynojet ride at this point.

All answers appreciated (hey, I´m Swedish - my spelling aint that good!!)

:-)

/Dan

If you're from Europe, then you should consider Scorpion (Akrapovic) exhaust
system - they will know exactly how many HP you hav eon wheels. Also their
system will increase power for 10-15 HP.

Hi Dan, I just bought a new 2002 R1 after having sold a 2002 748 biposto. I
can tell you that the rear wheel HP is approx 135 and the torque is way
beyond the 748, even more in my opinion than my friends 998 or his RC51. I
fitted a D&D slip-on after the first service that helped the top end but
there is now a slight hesitation at 2000 that can be annoying at slow speed
starts.  Hope this helps.
