There is something I don't understand. When I look at the catalogue
for the chrome lowers, I see four pieces.

And there is only one part number (STR-5BN08-50-00). Why four on the
picture?

Hi,
I think they have one picture for all deflectors.
You can check this part for other type of bike.

Because it is a kit and must be purchased all together when ordered as an
accessory.
If you damage any of the parts of the kit, the guys at the parts counter can
get them individually.

Yeah, but why four pieces? That is what I don't understand!

Oh, yeah! Showing the same two lowers, front and back!
I was trying to figure out where in the back of the bike...

Just guessing here, but there are two pieces for each side. It appears from
the picture that the two parts in the center portion of the picture are
attached in such a manner as to go below the two outside pieces in the
picture. My further gues is that the smaller pieces might actually be
attached to the part of the front forks that moves while the larger pieces
are attached to the forks that is connected to the triple clamp.
Maybe it is as simple as some owners want long lowers and others prefer
short lowers.

Upon investigation, it is not likely that the smaller of the lower attaches
to shocks at a point where the suspension is moving.

Maybe the smaller ones are for bikes that have a crashbar installed.
Still, only one part number?

I'd have to see a picture of a bike with these installed. The smaller ones
appear to have a small notch cut in them for the turn signals.
