Hi Gang,

I am looking for a set of highway foot pegs for my '96 Virago 1100 (with
factory engine guards). Really haven't seen much except that Whitney has a
set that mounts on the engine guard.

Any recommendations where to look for some more options?

I put a set of Kuryakyn offset dually ISO pegs on my virago 1100's engine
guards.  They took a bit to get them just right but work great and look
good.  The stretch out position is very comfortable on rides.  Dennis Kirk
has them for $119.95 (us).  The part is # 50-4159 and their site is
www.denniskirk.com.  I've seen them other places on line but dk is close to
me.

I picked up a cheaper set from my local dealer ($65 us) they have the same
ones in Dennis Kirk under 100, they are a bar that attaches to the two top
engine mounts, they angle down from there and extend out a few inches in
front of and above the break & shift lever... the ones that attach to the
engine guard are even closer to the break pedal... I'm 5'10" and I think
that the set I have are a little short, but I can stretch my leg straight
and rest my calf on the peg (had to pick up a pair of boots that were just a
bit taller than the ones I had) I got the set that has Yamaha inset in the
pegs... they rattle, nothing that a little silicon adhesive couldn't fix. ~D
