I posted a while back that I'd ordered some leathers, jacket and chaps, from
JaminLeather, out of scraps instead of whole pieces.  The chaps were about
$30 and the Jacket $50.

Someone remarked that he expected the jacket wouldn't have the wind flap,
etc.

Well, first they're as heavy as any I've seen.  The jacket has a zip in
liner, a good 3 inch wind flap behind the zipper and the double breasted
flap across the upper chest/throat.  It has zippered wrist and a belt.

The only thing is the zipper is a bit reluctant.  I hope that with time some
of the sharp edges will wear and it'll get easier to zip.

All in all, I'm pleased.

Rode up to Crested Butte this morning and the leathers felt damned good.

cheers

A little Bee's Wax on that zipper should take care of that.

I tried running a bar of soap up and down it.  Didn't seem to help.  I'll
try the wax.  Tnx

Failing that, run a soft pencil up and down the zipper a few times. The
graphite lubricates the teeth.

Have you ever noticed? Anybody going slower than you is an idiot, and
anyone going faster than you is a maniac.

Good news indeed! It was hard to see on their website if there were
windflaps (maybe the photographer had them folded under for looks?). You
can't beat that price, and they sound fine for the job. Hopefully,
they'll never have to go to work :-)

That was Jammin' Leathers, right?

JaminLeather.com,

Given their catalog, which they sent with the leathers, I think they sell
leathers to a lot of people who aren't bikers....grin

My lady friend, seeing me accoutered with do-rag, and chaps started
giggling.  Then said, "Bikers wear hair nets and crotchless panties."
Damned female!~!!

Oh well.........

cheers

The web site is JaminLeather.com, but, yes.

From their catalog, I suspect they sell a lot of leathers to non
bikers.  In fact, that's the first question they asked me..."Do you
ride a motorcycle".

hmmmmm
