Well, after some pretty miserable long distance rides, my husband and I
decided to get a couple of Mustang seats for our V Stars. I've heard some
really great things about Mustang seats, that's why we decided to go that
route.
Does anyone else hate the stock seat as much as I do? Especially the
passenger pillion on the 1100 when my husband and I ride two up, which isn't
often. I usually ride my own unless I'm too tired.

I hated my drivers seat so much, I ordered a PCS "original" a month
after I bought the bike.
Not sure about the back seat, though. After several thousand
kilometers, either it got softer or my girlfriend's butt go tougher.

I'm the owner of the predecessor to the V Star, a 98 Virago 1100,
which was aflicted similarly. I had the seat repacked within 250
miles of purchasing it with double density foam for $90. Turned
a bike that was barely ridable over 60 miles to about outside
tolerable 250 miles.. The shape is wrong with that upsweep on
the seat beginning way to close to the front. A nic flat seat
would be the ticket like the old '80 1000 suzuki's. BUT then it
wouldn't look like a cruiser would it! what price vanity.
