anyone have a diagram or instructions on how to remove the starter from a
Virago xv1100 1994, i need to replace it and am not quite sure how it comes
off.

Go to www.vsoc.org.uk and use the faq's button on the left side, that takes
you to the links for starter problems. I've just finished rebuilding my 1991
XV1100 starter gearing so if you get stuck I can probably help with any
questions. The bad news is £138 for the non return clutch and £75 for the
starter bendix gears upgrade. But it turns over every time now.(still sounds
terrible).
