Stock 96 royal star. Is it possible to defeat or adjust the revlimiter?
1st-2nd shift point is about 3 mph to low. As soon as i hit 40 the engine
stumbles against the limiter, usually my foot is reaching for the shifter
and my hand is begining to squeeze the clutch, about 1/2 second behind,
shifting sooner drops the power band too low in second for hard merge or
redlight action. all other gears seem fine.

Try a new ignition module... worked on my '03 RoadStar.
