Anyone out there with an 03 or 04 yzf-r6 have a problem with the high idle
remaining on for an unusually long time after start up. Not just when the
bike is cold either, sometimes after riding then waiting for an hour or so
it still idles high for some reason. Normal idle when I am riding is about
1500, but the high idle is 2000 after start up. It seems too high to engane
1st gear because you get a massive clunk. I noticed this becasue I used to
ride a g-sxr 750 and the high idle on that one lasted for a few seconds
usually allowing me to take off quicker and smoother. Any useful insight
would help. Thanks.

My 04 does the same, it isn't a problem. Just roll with it. And R6 trannys
clunk, they always have.
