Hi everyone, I'm new to the list. I have a 2003 Roadstar and am in need
of new rubber. I am having ab hard time deciding between the Dunlop 491
Elite II, the dunlop Cruisemax, and the Metzeler 880's. What do you
believe to be the best of these tires. I am interested in the best
cornering and handling first and mileage second.

I really could use some advice here, especially those who have run the
Metzelers. I've only run the dunlops that were OE on the bike from the
first owner.

If you ride aggressively I think you'll like the Metzler. They get maybe
4,000 to 5,000 miles before the compound is gone and then the tread just
vanishes. But Dunlop's do that and handle shitty so that's why I think the
Metzler 880 is a better tire.

considering your riding a bike that's a cruiser, why waste
money on performance tires? get something with a harder
compound to last 10k mikes.
i ride the twisties on a hot rof sr500 and use chen ching hi
vals. they hold up and hold on.
