Looking for one in good shape, mostly concerned about a clean title, decent
frame, good engine, and possibly wheels.  Bike will be chopped, so it
doesn't have to be perfect.  I prefer to stay around a 250 mile radius of
Kansas City, Mo, but might be willing to go a little further if the deal is
right.  Please e-mail me direct at rustygixxer@yahoo.com with details and
pictures.  Thank you.

buy a clue, sparky.

First off, I already have plenty of clues.  That's why i'm looking for a
clean Yamaha xs650 to chop.  Secondly, Who the hell are you?  Must be nice
to hide behind a keyboard and a screen.  I, at least, have the guts to post
my e-mail address and name.

really? that why you top post?
usenet is not a sales list for noobs.
ads are spam.
try using a search engines and drop the pretentions.

I'm honestly not sure if I should lower myself to reply to this troll, but I
'm bored, so here goes...

> really? that why you top post?

-- Oh, I accidently top-posted.  I had my newsgroups set up to automatically
bottom-post when I replied, but I recently had to reload some software after
my son accidentally downloaded a virus (after turning off the anti-virus
software because he said, "it (the website) said to turn it (the anti-virus
software program) off if I had any problems (downloading)") and me having to
reset things up... So I missed something - score one for the dweeb...

> usenet is not a sales list for noobs

-- Are you one of the Usenet cops or something?  Let me guess, you carry a
plstic badge, and a holster for your wireless mouse?  Usenet is for
everything. There are numerous newsgroups that cater to almost anything
anyone can imagine. I posted looking for a bike to chop, not some anonymous
asshat to make stupid comments.

> ads are spam.

Do you even know what Spam is? Here's a definition - "Unsolicited e-mail,
often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing
lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail." I posted asking if anyone
had an old xs650 that they'd like to sell. Using the above definition, I
didn't e-mail you or anyone specifically (unless you own an older XS650
you'd like to sell), and I didn't send it indesciminently (I was very
specific to what newsgroups I sent it to). If you had nothing to add, THEN
DON'T REPLY.

> try using a search engines

I have used search engines, searched newsgroups, subscribed to a few forums,
asked everyone I know (who deal with motorcycles), gone through eBay, and
even keep an eye on the local newspaper.

> and drop the pretentions.

Like what? That you're a wanna be "1337" computer recluse, that lives in his
mommies' basment, has internet access, and checks out the motorcycle section
in the B Dalton at the local mall where mommy drops him off at? You don't
post your name. You don't know how to spell - you can't even spell the word
right, it's "pretensions" you twit. You don't know how to punctuate
properly. Need I go on?

Obviously, you've had access to an urban dictionary somewhere along the way,
and when you use the term "noob" as an insult, it makes you look pretty
stupid.  You need to get a clue, and stay on the porch if you can't run with
the big dogs, because we get annoyed when people like you try and keep up...
So, go get your little "wizard hat" or "power up", or whatever you do, and
have a nice day...

i know of a 72, but it needs paint and a good tune up.
walneck's is better than ebay...much easier to verify a good
bike.
sure you don't want a custom sr500 done in british cafe
style? looks like a goldstar.

I've never seen a cafe'd sr500.  Sounds pretty cool.  Do you have a picture?
I have a 1970 Honda cb350 that is being cafe'd.  I also like the xs650 Manx
style replica's, but way too much money for what I want to do...  Where is
that 72 located at?  It might be worth a visit if it's close.  I can rebuild
an engine, and I really don't care about paint...

E, that thing rocks!  Nice job.  I especially like the paint on the tank.

Vegas, huh?  I could possibly talk the wife into gambling, who knows, may be
able to win the money back for the bike...
