Hello,
I bought a virago 535 from 1995 with 4500km
My problem is that it goes not faster then 110 km/h
Does someone know what the problem could be?
I heard that it possibly the carburator was that functions not good.

Yes, it could be the carbs. I had this problem. When I looked into it the
diaphragm had broken away from the slide. I secured the collar with araldite
and its been fine. I believe that the diaphragms tend to split with the same
result.

Hello Phil,
Could you tell me how to open the carbs? If you should have a sheme it would
be perfect.
I opened one side of the carbs (the left side but i saw no diaphragms),is it
the right side or do i have to open the hole carb herefor?

Its the right hand side. On mine one of the 4 screws on each carb is a
security screw. if you don't have the correct bit you can remove it
carefully with mole grips, replace it with a standard screw. The spring,
diaphragm and slide can then be carefully removed and checked. Make sure the
diaphragm is correctly located when you refit and if you do have to secure
the diaphragm to the slide as did make sure the tab on the diaphragm is in
the correct position radialy.

rehello Phil
I checked the diaphragm and its ok, no gaps or holes , I wonder how I have
to remove the spring and the slide ?
I pulled but it stayed on its place ,do I need special equipment to remove
it?
Is there more in the carb than that ? I ride a little tour and the max speed
stayed around 100 km/h .
I begin to panic a little.

For Phil

I removed the diaphragme and the " needle" , this was very ditrty and I
cleaned it , I mounted everything back and now
it runs 145 km/h so I think everything is allright.
Thanks for your help
regards
