Does anyone own an XJR1300. I'm lookin' at buying one (if the bank lets me)
and would like some feedback on it.

The XJR1300 is also sold in Australia. I'm after info from anyone in Oz
'cause bikes tend to differ from one country to another.

You *what*?
Sir might like to get his facts right before posting.
The XJR is not sold in the USA for clean air reasons. And long may it
remain so.

*waves to Scod*

Depends what you want really. If you want a retro, grunty slightly
sporty muscle bike, the XJR is for you. Get one while they're still
air-cooled. Not a license-loser or a plodding old chrome barge but lots
of fun, in the right hands it can show up the Power Rangers.
I've had mine 3 years and I'll never want anything else!

Couldn't agree more, but mines the older 1200 model which has the
advantage that it can take a few re-bores whilst I understand the 1300
is a fully bored out unit.

Actuazlly there is a Big Bore option available for the 1300. It's
actually only 1250cc capacity and I know of examples bored out to 1400
and 1500cc.

http://www.bigccracing.com/welcome.asp?page=49

Check there for mods and bore sizes available.

the 1300 has liners in the barrels which means it lasts longer I have done
all the mods to mine without going for bigbore and she is putting out 140bhp
:) and still as reliable as ever.but the thing is they can be lots of things
from a
standard all round machine to a retro that can beat the sports bikes you can
do whatever YOU want
Waves back L.B.
