Yamaha Majesty Engine Cut-out

I had 2 engine cut-outs for no reason known to me or the Majesty yp400t
system readings, in traffic today, at 27deg.C and I thought it might be due to
something concerning the following Yamy Majesty yp400ts specs:

|Suction piston-type throttle body fuel injection provides crisp, clean throttle response with excellent fuel economy and reduced exhaust emissions. The system also features a throttle position sensor (T.P.S.) that provides information to the ECU to provide the most accurate ignition timing possible for maximum performance at all rpms. Special idle speed control means there is no need to adjust the idle… a special motor regulates idle speed.

|The F.I. system uses a single fuel injector with 12 spray holes for excellent fuel atomization and more complete combustion. The injector is located downstream of the throttle body in the intake manifold.

Although It  may simply be that the Carb/Fuel Injectors need cleaning. I
have done this before and it ran for 400KMs and I guess I will need a thimble
full again.

Since I only have 550KMs on the Majesty's break-in period, it seems odd
that the jets clog up so quickly in normal driving conditions....

Since I'm not too experienced, in Fuel injections, I was wondering if
this is a regular issue, nevertheless, I will try the additive Gum-out stuff for
fuel injector cleaning since this occurring at idle speeds, and it seems like I
am getting more miles per gallon than I should...

ThanX

Forget the injector unless you are burning crude oil.

Does the bike have a "check engine" light on the instrument pod? If so,
there may be onboard diagnostics in the system. A service manual (always a
real plus with an injected bike) will show you how to check each sensor, but
I suspect the TPS, especially if the bike stalled when you returned to idle
speed. I had a similar problem with my '04 FZ6. Check to see if a
re-designed TPS is available from Yamaha. It should be a free fix.

Seen your bike, nice design, well that's not saying too much from a
weird scooter look...

Yes I have all the symptoms you diagnosed, but I don't know where the
TPS is, like is it around the throttle grip/cable itself, or the carburetor
throttle wheel, which would be buried in a lot of panels and cowlings?

One guy said he had the same problem, and it was a poster on the yahoo
majesty group was having a similar problem. took the bike back to the dealer-the
bike should not be stalling at any speed. in the yahoo poster's case- it turned
out the belt was not tight enough.

I still have a mere 6 years left on the warranty, but I can't even get a
$100.00 manual yet, and they don't sell a CD version to laymen.

As far as I know, they redesigned the crankcase from the Majesty
04/Boxer twin 400, and  upgraded a MBK Skyliner 400, and there is no TPS
mentioned....

These heavy singles conk out pretty easy as the laws of gravity persist,
but the system should allow me a higher idle speed to accommodate the natural
engine factor...
