I apologize now, for this is a very long, complicated problem... I will try
to make it as short and painless as possible...

We bought an FZ1 from my boss about 4 months ago.  We still have yet to
receive a title.  Before we bought it, he failed to inform us that there was
still a lienholder on the bike.  Since then, the bike has been paid off, but
he just found out that the title is nowhere to be found.  This means the bike
has been a driveway ornament for over 4 months.  Everytime we try to speak to
him about it, we are just told that he has no time to deal with it since he's
the owner of a corporation.  My husband has tried to call him on numerous
occasions, and his phone calls are ignored.  We were very wrong in assuming
this would be a smooth transaction...
Our interest rate on our loan has already doubled and our insurance is about
to be dropped...

The next problem is we just found out that reissuing a title will take at
least 60 days in the state of California.  We are in the process of moving
back to Pennsylvania and will not have a title before we move back.

Our next step is to attempt to return the bike for our money back... I'd
really appreciate any advice...

the proper way to buy a bike is to meet at the courthouse, transfer
it and then pay for the ride. ive seen many people pawn off vehicles on
the promise of a later transfer and it never happens because of a lein
the seller doesnt want to pay.pay the lein , get he seller to pay it,or
part out the bike. lucas
