Any ideas on this. 2003 Yamaha 1100 Silverado , less than 4000 miles and I
was just crusing down the street at around 40 mph the bike jerked and cut
off. Nothing happening now. Power lights all cut on when I turn the key on
but not trying to crank at all. Nothing.......... It's Saturday and dealer
don't open till Monday. Just want to know if there is anything I need to
try. It does have oil..

Do the lights come on?

Does the start crank the motor but it just won't start?
If so, open the gas cap. If it has a vacuum, the tank air breather is
blocked which causes the engine to starve from the lack of fuel.
If it doesn't crank, I think there is a circuit breaker in the starter lead.

The lights cut on but the red engine lite that I should get........... well
I am not getting that. The starter doesn't engage at all . I opened the gas
cap but nothing still happened.
