Charge the battery at 0.6 amps with a trickle charger for about 12 hours. Check the voltage across the battery terminals with a digital voltmeter. The voltage should rise to about 15.0 volts. Disconnect the battery from the charger and let it sit for about 30 minutes to an hour. Check the voltage again. If it is 12.8 volts, the battery is fully charged. If it is down around 12.0 volts the battery is too old, you need to replace it. |
