Hey guys I need help. I just bought one of my soul stirring bikes, an '83
IT490. I am having a hell of a time finding parts for her. I know about the
whole ebay thing and I am on there constantly, but I really want new parts,
especially plastics, seat foams, seat covers, decals, etc... I saw a company
called DC plastics, but it looks like that Maier plastic that almost looks to
be flat, cast plastic. Not very nice plastic at all. Anyways, come somebody
help me at all with finding parts and accessories for these bikes? I know
there are guys out there that had the same problem I did. I asked a guy on
ebay that restores ITs in the northwest US one time who his part source was
and he actually told me that he didnt want anyone else knowing where he got
them so they couldnt restore theirs also. I tell you, if I wouldve been
within arms reach of that guy when I read that reply, I wouldve gone to jail.
Thanks everyone for your help. Looking forward to hearing from My motorcycle
brethren.
