| Performance vs comfort | 31 Aug 2007 22:53 GMT | 29 |
Today I was happily running errands and riding around in the sunshine on my little S40. I suppose it has about the same performance as the state-of-the-art road bikes of the 1920's but I really like it anyway.

| How to sell a bike securely? | 31 Aug 2007 17:35 GMT | 25 |
I have a few bikes for sale, mostly dirt bikes so I advertise on Craig's... and I get a few calls from suspicious sounding teenage boys who seem only interested in where the bikes are kept (presumably so they can come by at 2 AM and steal them).

| THP hassle on the Dragon | 31 Aug 2007 08:47 GMT | 111 |
It looks like the Deal's Gap road (Hwy 129) has been "discovered". There's a thread going on right now on RMH titled "Tennessee Dragon Slayers" about police harassment by the THP. Sean_Q_

Have you ever gone back to places that you knew as a toddler, how much smaller they seem than you remember? My 2nd bike (after a Honda S-90) was a '69 BSA Thunderbolt. I was just out of school and at the time I thought of it

| 1980 Honda Goldwing vs. newer models | 30 Aug 2007 13:54 GMT | 18 |
I recently purchased a lovingly cared for 1980 Goldwing with 35,000 miles. No complaints, but am curious about it's top end. I find that it cruises best at 60-65 mph and gets the best fuel efficiency. When I push it to 75 mph for the interstate, it feels

| I just pissed off my brother | 29 Aug 2007 23:22 GMT | 68 |
He picked up a new leftover 2006 Shadow 1000 Spirit today, and stopped by the house. All he could talk about was how he HAD to put louder pipes on it, over and over.
