Not bad for a biker flick (meaning: it's awful, but less awful
than some). The jacket blurb says, "Produced a year after _Easy Rider_
this film helped make motorcycle films the rage of Hollywood."
Basically it's a retelling of _Seven Samurai_/_The Magnificent Seven_.
Stupid Mistake with a Motorcycle04 Nov 2007 23:40 GMT28
Do you know of any interesting mistakes on or with a motorcycle
that might make a fun addition to www.stupid-mistakes.com ?
Thanks,

shimmy in front steering at 35 MPH04 Nov 2007 22:57 GMT30
My 1981 Kawasaki LTD 550 has a shimmy that is most pronounced at 35
MPH.  I've removed the windshield and mirrors from the handlebars
without making any difference.  Just keeping my hands solidly on the
grips keeps the shimmy under control but it doesn't seem safe or

Critical mass is near. The real terrorists will aoon be
revealed and brought to justice. The criminal, treasonous
Bush regime is breaking up like a steel framed skyscraper
at the onset of controlled demolition.
Can someone explain the gear orders03 Nov 2007 21:21 GMT18
I haven't been able to figure out why this is a good thing.
The gearing on my bike is 1-N-2-3-4-5
Why is neutral between 1 and 2?  It's not confusing to shift, after time it
becomes second nature, but at the same time N is REALLY hard to find on the
Cell phone safety wild hare03 Nov 2007 20:02 GMT54
Just had a notion, figured I'd toss it out and see what's wrong with
it.  And I know that this group will find something to object to if
anybody will.
Many if not most cell phones today come with some kind of position
Here's one way to get whitewalls for your bike03 Nov 2007 11:19 GMT1
>From another forum... this guy actually did a pretty darn good job
getting whitewalls for a bike that they probably don't make 'em for...

Both my BatteryTender Jrs died03 Nov 2007 03:11 GMT3
One I left plugged in all summer, the other was in a drawer.
Neither displays the indicator light.  Weird.
I guess I'll go by a new one even though the weather looks good and I should
be riding for another week or two. Lows in the 30s Highs in the 50s, no

Gerbing Review02 Nov 2007 13:31 GMT1
Thought I'd post a brief review of day 1 using the Gerbing heated jacket
liner and gloves I bought.
Had them shipped 2-day FedEx.  Arrived as predicted on my birthday, happy
birthday to me!
The Mouse that Roared (I miss it)02 Nov 2007 06:52 GMT2
I really miss the Virago 250 that I sold last fall.
Despite its small size it had a fun quality hard to describe.
Part of it was the muted rumble of the miniature V-twin, something like
Simba trying his best to roar for the hyenas in _The Lion King_.
Bay Area's Rockin'!02 Nov 2007 06:49 GMT11
Wow! That one was either huge or pretty close by! Felt nearly as big
as the '89 quake!
Bike is fine. No worries!

Cagers with telephones are oblivious02 Nov 2007 02:15 GMT22
I know it's been said a hundred times by a hundred people, but cagers
who talk on cell phones are oblivious to driving. Why it's still
legal, I don't know.
This AM on the way to work... a lady in a tank-sized SUV with her head
Comments: 2006 Suzuki S5001 Nov 2007 21:02 GMT1
Looking for any comments, good or bad, about your 2006 Suzuki S50.
So far, the negative comments I've read are that the seat is
uncomfortable, the gas tank capacity is small*, and the lack of a
6th (overdrive) gear. My intended use will be freeway commuting

Prompts me to ask this question.
If you get clipped by someone changing lanes, while lane splitting, in
California. Who's fault is it?
This is something I've always wondered about.
