If you could replace the Buell XB9/12's motor30 Sep 2004 19:25 GMT28
What would you replace it with?
For me, I'd like to see a big single, maybe a bored out version of Yamaha's
Raptor 660 engine, with the 720 kit.  That would be a hoot!

Yo Mike...I know you went out and got a high quality Toyota
when you thought you were getting a clunker domestic
Pontiac. Well, I've got you beat, I went out and did
something REAL stupid, I spent all morning trading in my
Grabbing Money off the road Picture..29 Sep 2004 11:49 GMT6
This is wild!  :pimp:
This happened this past weekend. Sat 9/25/04
The old man was following one of those fast whippersnappers around the
curve, when way ahead of us a rider drops all his money on the road. Must

A Harbor Freight store just opened near me and I went to check it out
today.
They had the tire changer along with the motorcycle tire accessory in

Is this too hot for the street??(small crappy vid of me)29 Sep 2004 02:20 GMT104
I never been to a trackday, and I just got introduced to technical street
curves a couple years ago. I hang out with some riders that have a real
strong pace. We bang the tight twistee every chance we get. Being with them
my pace has increased. The other day, one rider caught me on ...

70 in a 50....
I asked the cop if he would write us a warning....He said "no, but it
doesn't hurt to ask."  At least he had a sense of humor.  He's probably off
work now, after meeting his quota:  6 Tix in 1 stop!

I don't usually carry a camera, and when I do I don't
usually take many pictures, but what the hell, I thought I
would throw a few up just for fun.
Getting ready to go have fun!
Why do Harleys suck?28 Sep 2004 14:48 GMT114
When I bought my SV1000, I sorta considered the Buell XB12R.  I steered
away, mostly due to the resale value, and the reports of problems, all of
none I know of first hand.
I also remember my uncle Jim, who had bought an AMC manufactured Harley, and
header torque specs?28 Sep 2004 12:16 GMT6
Getting a funny smell (as Troy can attest to) from the new Gixxer. Hard to
tell if it's just heat or not. Doesn't smell like oil. Smells sort of like
anti-freeze, but I've torn all the farings off (most difficult faring
removal I've EVER had on a sport bike... but that's another ...

Why do Harleys always get in the way28 Sep 2004 02:33 GMT100
I like to ride fast. Usually 10 or 100 over the speed limit. Every time I'm on a back road and cars
get back up and no passing can be make, I find that it's a couple of guys doing less than the speed
limit on there cool Harleys.
