Mary and I are cruising in the bahamas.
Yesterday in Grand Cayman there were tons of weird chinese bikes.  They
are all single 125's it seems.
In Jamaica they have a bunch of no name brands too, though I did see a

1.  State liquor stores are jammed packed.
2.  Every parking lot is jammed packed.
3.  I have to go to the jammed packed grocery store to get Christmas dinner.
4.  It won't be a white Christmas here.

I very recently yanked a motor and tranny out of an '05 suzuki katana
600 for a side project. I now have a nearly complete bike (minus motor
and tranny) with only 8 miles on it. It was the floor model, so there
are a few minor scratches and dings but everything is in great shape. I

I'm looking for a starter bike.  I was thinking about a Honda Rebel
250 or Suzuki GS500.  The main reason I want a bike is to make my
morning commutes fun and save money on gas.  I'll be commuting about 40
miles a day round trip, mostly freeway.  Reliability is a must.  I
