NJ/PA Ride Sunday, 4/2/06
Before I say anything else, remember to set your clocks FORWARD one hour on
Saturday evening.  ...either that, or plan on being at the launch point an
hour early. <grin>
Dirt adventures30 Mar 2006 07:38 GMT5
Well as some of you know I went partially insane last year, sold my
600RR, renounced track and street riding and got a dirt bike.
What I really wanted was a dual-sport bike, to do some offroading and
exploring forest service roads.  But now I've come to find what people

Why I love traffic cops Part V30 Mar 2006 03:30 GMT14
UNION | Two Union police officers thought they had an impaired driver
- glossy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, the smell of alcohol -
when they stopped him on Old Springfield Road for driving 40 mph in a
25 mph zone.

What kind of modification is required on a fairing if I want to buy frame
sliders because I don't want to hurt my baby you know what I mean. Thanks.
Argh!  CBR600 F2 instrument panel light bulbs?28 Mar 2006 16:51 GMT2
I have instrument panel light bulbs that need to be replaced for nighttime
riding.  I've looked through the F2 and common service manuals, and they
have no model numbers, although I believe that they are 3.4W based on my
post just below this one.  Since the motobike is my only ...
Basic Maintenance28 Mar 2006 07:15 GMT5
Finally a warm sunny yet windy day.  Time to get to business, my first time
taking the wrench to the F4i.  Here is the plan: Front brake pads, oil and
filter change, air filter change, drill fairing and install sliders.
1. Front brake pads, easy as pie.
New Bike Pics and Whining...27 Mar 2006 18:03 GMT50
Maybe I'm just getting old. 20 years ago, new bike in the garage, I would
still be out in 35F weather tooling around appreciating it. Tonight? 20
miles in 40F weather and I'm ready to go home, worse yet, I'm ready to go
home and WHINE about the bike.
Check your tire pressures!27 Mar 2006 14:57 GMT18
So today is the day the actual assimilation of new motorcycle begins.
Suspension, lube the chain, nice decent sized ride on Interstate and
canyons.
First thing I notice...15 PSI IN THE FRONT TIRE!

Boy Racers and safety gear.....27 Mar 2006 04:46 GMT4
I went for a ride along one of the usual backroads on Saturday, only to
find it was covered with roadworks and loose gravel. This sort of took
the fun out of the ride, so I was just cruising along in first gear. As
I passed the 'open speed limit' sign that signalled the end of ...
Riding's more fun when your thinner27 Mar 2006 02:58 GMT9
So, when I bought the SV back in Sept. 2004 I complained a bit about riding
comfort. Hands and wrist hurt, Back and neck sore, etc. At the time I
weighed a hefty 270. Since then I lost some...then gained up to 287. What a
porker I was. Riding was a pain as Mu belly got in the way of ...

Sorta nice ride today26 Mar 2006 17:07 GMT9
Went on the longest ride I have done so far on this bike yet. A far
cry of what I have done in the past but...the weather wasn't playing
nice.  Got hit by rain mid-way.
I really need to invest into a tank mounted camera, there just is no
98 gsxr -- speedo stuck at 80mph26 Mar 2006 06:10 GMT4

had melted.
now that it's all back together; I turn the key on (not even start the bike) and
the speedo jumps to 80 and the odometer ticks over as if it were doing 80.  I
