Indianapolis Speedway30 Jul 2008 01:47 GMT3
So I was under the weather yesterday, so I watched the NAPCAR "race".
WTF?  Thirteen laps and the tires were worn to the cords?  "Competition"
yellows every 15 laps for 400 miles.  The most boring "race" I've ever seen.
Didn't F1 have a debacle a few years back due to tire wear ...

So I'm coming home for lunch yesterday and wouldn't you know it, I
come to a stop at the main light on the way home right beside "a
gang". Four Hardleys, one road queen, some billy bob slim glide and 2
others which I didn't have a clue what silly names they are referred

Lots of UJM's out29 Jul 2008 20:34 GMT8
Okay, so gas prices are obviously effecting SOMETHING. Anyone else
noticed hordes of early-80's, mid-80's UJM's? I'm seeing them
everywhere. Old air cooled nighthawks, KZ's and GS's, every DS of all
sorts of vintages.

This week I got to take a nice 700 mile plus round trip for work to
the northern most part of WI, to the South Shore of Lake Superior near
Bayfield and Ashland.
I was up there to provide a half day training, and on my 30 hour per

Stopping distances from Reeky but not x-posted27 Jul 2008 17:34 GMT1
Some tine ago, I read some number on 60-0 stopping distances for
various motorcycles uncluding cruisers. These number didn't reflect
the non fading value of brakes on sportbikes as all were single stops
from 60MPH.

after two days of riding and next 1800 happy smiles on my internal

straight highways, the best was Flagstaff and Ozarks Missouri. I was

Looks like a GS500 or GSXR style 4 cylinder fully faired bike. They
say the design is taken from the Euro smaller Bandit. It's $1000 more
than a naked SV and the review advertised 73HP@42lbs torque & 56MPG

but tomorrow is a State holiday, Pioneer Day, when the Mormons arrived in
