ride report: 19130 Sep 2008 05:02 GMT4
In short: we rode it yesterday. With all connecting roads it turned out
to be a 650 miler.
First things first: I had a real pleasure to ride with two very
experienced and excellent riders from the local riding group.

I lost a friend this past weekend.29 Sep 2008 06:00 GMT8
Saturday evening, I lost a friend. He was sideswiped by a truck after he
lost control after hitting a set of pot holes.
He'll certainly be missed. And I for one am proud to have known him.

Off and On Topic: For Saddlebags28 Sep 2008 22:33 GMT9
Hey Saddie, thanks for posting the trip report. Looks like it
was quite a memorable adventure. Did you get your 400 Euros back
when your own gear finally showed up, or do you now own some
souvenir gear? <g>
tire report27 Sep 2008 20:55 GMT6
I purchased new BT021 sport touring tires in June of 2007.  Let's call it 6k
miles.
The rear has held up really well, the front is a disappointment.  The front
is not lasting much longer than the previous Pilot Powers.  It is so easy to

To Saddle: Glad your Euro vacation went well.24 Sep 2008 22:50 GMT1
Saddle, I been off the computer for about a week and missed your
initial story. I'm glad you had a good time and rather than posting a
reply to that convoluted mess of an X-posted to Reeky thread, I wanted
to give you a heads up in AMS alone. Very nice pictures as well dude.

fuel problem with 1999 GS500E21 Sep 2008 00:31 GMT1

riding. While staying steady on the throttle it will slow down as if
it’s not getting gas or running out of gas. Throttling while this is
happening will make the bike either slow down more or lurch like its
