Clutch problem29 May 2004 23:40 GMT1
I have a 1983 suzuki GS550E and I seem to be having a problem with my clutch.  Every time I put it into gear it makes a clunking sound.  It just started doing this.  My clutch lever seems to be loosening as well.  I was just wondering if there was some easy fix to this.
1983 Maxim  750 gas pouring out the exhaust29 May 2004 00:07 GMT3
I have  a slight problem starting my bike this year, the bike will start and
run at an idle but will not run if you give it gas. I noticed gas was coming
out the drain hole in the left exhaust. I checked the No. 1 cylinder spark
plug and it is wet, the cylinder is cold which ...
My carb runneth over.... Honda CX50028 May 2004 17:06 GMT3
I have a 1981 Honda CX 500. I rebuilt the Carbs a few months ago and
it has been running good and bad ever since. I will start up easier
than it ever has but seems to be running very rich as I can smell gas
even when none is escaping the carb.

Grooves in brake disk?27 May 2004 20:54 GMT14
I'm the owner of a 2003 Kawasaki Voyager with 12,500 kms (7,800 miles)
on the clock.
I noticed recently that there are several quite deep grooves in the
front brake disks. I guess this happens when a small piece of gravel
82 Virago charging problem27 May 2004 15:12 GMT4
My 82 Virago started acting up tonight. Whenever I rev-up the bike the lights dim.
I checked the voltage and did a load test on the battery and it's fine. it was holding at 12.3 volts even after a load test it climbs right back. The bike starts fine all the time. When the bike is ...
technique to cover back engine oil cover w/o leaking27 May 2004 11:39 GMT1
I have replaced the oil filter (Suzuki GZ125) and engine oil 3 days ago.
After covering the oil cover, there is no leaking of oil from the cover. The
surrounding of the oil cover becomes oily after travel to the next
destination. I think the cover did not sit correctly. Any advice?
Looking for Relay Mfg27 May 2004 11:09 GMT5
I'm looking at a '97 Honda Shadow ACE.   They have the power for the
headlight going through one set of the "start" switch contacts.  The wire is
16, 18, 20 gague.   If all your running is one 55/60W headlamp, that may
due, but having "running lights" on high tends to melt the ...
'82 Goldwing 1200 Dying in sharp turns27 May 2004 06:31 GMT5
I have a friend who owns a 1982 or so Goldwing 1200. When making a sharp
curve & laying the bike over somewhat, the engine just dies causing a
complete laydown of the bike. He has been told that it has some type of
leveling sensor that is causing it to die, but it seems like a ...
SRX600 or XR650L27 May 2004 06:08 GMT1
I want a light, dependable thumper for the street.  Does the SRX have decent
low and mid-range torque?  Would the XR benefit much with street tires and
perhaps lowering a couple inches?  Also is there a simple way to mount a low
front fender on the stock XR forks?  I love the stance ...
Aftermarket CAM27 May 2004 05:07 GMT1
I have a Suzuki Bandit I was thinking of adding a bit of extra pep to.  I
have seen a few articles such as adding a SVT cam to a Bandit and such but
are there any aftermarket cam companies that you can request different
grinds from such as Crane does for cars?  Input would be ...
Ironman Ham27 May 2004 02:23 GMT2
This isn't actually a tech m/c question but I thought the rules could be
bent abit. :)
A "how far have you driven in a day" thread in another group reminded me of
an article I read in a bike mag once about a 24 hr endurance record which
Yamaha XS65026 May 2004 22:15 GMT2
I'm looking at buying a '75 XS650b.  Is this the version with the
improved frame?  Any thing that I should look for?
Thanks,
Eric
New Front Tire Suggestion for Vulcan 800 A26 May 2004 21:43 GMT2
Its time to replace the factory OE front tire on my Kawasaki Vulcan
800 A model, an 80/90 x 21. The first time I replaced it I was forced
to go back with the OE tire because my dealer said Bridgestone was the
only maker of the size. I don't like the Bridgestone much, can anyone
starting problems for a wing26 May 2004 13:34 GMT3
Ok i have a 89 and it will not start.  I had a two year old battery on the
battery tender all winter.  I installed it today and all it does is click
when i hit the start switch.  I checked the voltage of the battery and had
