| Clutch problem | 29 May 2004 23:40 GMT | 1 |
I have a 1983 suzuki GS550E and I seem to be having a problem with my clutch. Every time I put it into gear it makes a clunking sound. It just started doing this. My clutch lever seems to be loosening as well. I was just wondering if there was some easy fix to this.

I have a slight problem starting my bike this year, the bike will start and run at an idle but will not run if you give it gas. I noticed gas was coming out the drain hole in the left exhaust. I checked the No. 1 cylinder spark plug and it is wet, the cylinder is cold which ...

| My carb runneth over.... Honda CX500 | 28 May 2004 17:06 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1981 Honda CX 500. I rebuilt the Carbs a few months ago and it has been running good and bad ever since. I will start up easier than it ever has but seems to be running very rich as I can smell gas even when none is escaping the carb.

| technique to cover back engine oil cover w/o leaking | 27 May 2004 11:39 GMT | 1 |
I have replaced the oil filter (Suzuki GZ125) and engine oil 3 days ago. After covering the oil cover, there is no leaking of oil from the cover. The surrounding of the oil cover becomes oily after travel to the next destination. I think the cover did not sit correctly. Any advice?

| Looking for Relay Mfg | 27 May 2004 11:09 GMT | 5 |
I'm looking at a '97 Honda Shadow ACE. They have the power for the headlight going through one set of the "start" switch contacts. The wire is 16, 18, 20 gague. If all your running is one 55/60W headlamp, that may due, but having "running lights" on high tends to melt the ...

| '82 Goldwing 1200 Dying in sharp turns | 27 May 2004 06:31 GMT | 5 |
I have a friend who owns a 1982 or so Goldwing 1200. When making a sharp curve & laying the bike over somewhat, the engine just dies causing a complete laydown of the bike. He has been told that it has some type of leveling sensor that is causing it to die, but it seems like a ...

| SRX600 or XR650L | 27 May 2004 06:08 GMT | 1 |
I want a light, dependable thumper for the street. Does the SRX have decent low and mid-range torque? Would the XR benefit much with street tires and perhaps lowering a couple inches? Also is there a simple way to mount a low front fender on the stock XR forks? I love the stance ...

| Aftermarket CAM | 27 May 2004 05:07 GMT | 1 |
I have a Suzuki Bandit I was thinking of adding a bit of extra pep to. I have seen a few articles such as adding a SVT cam to a Bandit and such but are there any aftermarket cam companies that you can request different grinds from such as Crane does for cars? Input would be ...

| Ironman Ham | 27 May 2004 02:23 GMT | 2 |
This isn't actually a tech m/c question but I thought the rules could be bent abit. :) A "how far have you driven in a day" thread in another group reminded me of an article I read in a bike mag once about a 24 hr endurance record which

Its time to replace the factory OE front tire on my Kawasaki Vulcan 800 A model, an 80/90 x 21. The first time I replaced it I was forced to go back with the OE tire because my dealer said Bridgestone was the only maker of the size. I don't like the Bridgestone much, can anyone
